 Why in Outlook 2007 we are able to receive emails but not send emails?
Solution The server requires authentication and you need to configure extra settings to send emails.

Please follow the information below to update your account in Outlook 2007.

1) Go to the "Tools" menu and select "Account Settings".

2) Select your accounts and click the "Change" option.

3) Click the "More Settings" option.

4) Click in the "Outgoing Server" tab and mark the "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" option and select "Log on using" type your complete e-mail address (Ex: johnsmith@thedomain.com) and your password in the fields and click the OK button.

5) Click the "Test Account Settings" button to send a test e-mail.

6) Click the "Next" button then the "Finish" button and finally the "Close" button to close the settings.
